Equipment You Will Need To Make Orange & Cinnamon Stained Glass Window Biscuits Recipe

So you will need some bits to make this Christmas recipe with although trust me you don’t really need a lot. I love these recipes where you don’t need to have a fully stocked kitchen with the latest kitchen gadgets that I could never afford!

Star Cookie Cutters – I see this recipe made best as stars, this star cookie recipe is best in my opinion although you can use other shapes if you want. You can use festive cookie cutters but you might need to put fewer sweets in.

Silicone Baking Mat – Trust me, for this recipe you’re going to want to use a silicone baking mat, the sweets won’t stick to it like they do on baking parchment or normal trays and they’re easier to use and wash! I’d also suggest using a silicone spatula as well.

Let me know what you think about these stained glass Christmas cookies. They taste really nice, have a kick of flavour to them although for me the best part is how decorative they look.

  • 1 bag Foxes Fruit sweets
  • 2 tsp Mixed spice
  • 2 tsp Water

Instructions

  • Mix all ingreidtnets till combined well in a bowl.
  • When the mixture is dough form flour the side and roll dough until it's around 2mm thick.
  • Use a large star cutter to cut out stars, transfer these to a silicone baking sheet and then use a smaller star cutter to make the inside star hole. (If you would like to turn these into tree decorations you can poke a hole through the top for a ribbion to go into at a later date).
  • Place one boiled sweet in the centre of the hole, no more otherwise it will spill out.
  • Bake the cookies for 15-20 minutes at 190'C.

Notes

If you would like to turn these into tree decorations you can poke a hole through the top for a ribbon to go into at a later date. I haven’t done that with this recipe but it would be great to know if you did!
As always make sure all ingreidents are vegan or to your diatry requirments, make sure they haven’t changed either, just because you’ve been using them for years doesn’t mean they don’t get changed.
