Salted Caramel Donut Recipe

If you’re looking for a nice donut recipe this is one you can’t pass up on. The donut itself is built up with chocolate and taste amazing but it’s the salted caramel glaze that really shows off this chocolate donut and makes it so tasty! If you’re looking for an amazing homemade donut recipe these homemade salted caramel donuts are the ones you might just need.

When using salted caramel flavouring, we prefer to get it from places such as Lakeland, we found that an Asda or Tesco own brand doesn’t have the same rich taste, sometimes paying more for something is better. I would also suggest using a bar of nice milky chocolate for the glaze, I love Cadbury chocolate and it tastes amazing on these salted caramel doughnuts.

Donut Baking Equipment

You’re going to need donut making equipment if you want to make donuts, it took me forever to buy a donut baking tray and I’m so glad I did! I got this Chefmade Champagne Donut Tray and I have to say it’s perfect, the non-stick is on point and you hardly have to grease the pan! It’s really nice looking and does the job well.

You’re also going to want some piping equipment so that you can easily pipe the mixture into the donut tray and not have any lumps or bumps on the top of the donuts. If you pipe the mixture it has a much better finish when it’s done, I use this piping set so check it out.
