My husband loves anything salted caramel and also has a thing for pretzels so I thought, why not just combined the two! Who doesn’t love pretzel fudge? Caramel pretzel fudge sounds nice but I fancied putting a twist on it so I went with salted caramel pretzel fudge, something that should go down well in groups as well. I took them to work and everyone loved them.
It doesn’t really matter where you put the pretzel, I used the pretzel both within the fudge and also mixed in the chocolate that’s on top of the fudge. Basically there is pretzel all the way through, gives the fudge a little more crunch as well. Caramel pretzel fudge is great although I have to say my favourite fudge so far has to be my Slow Cooker Toblerone Fudge Recipe.
If you fancy another salted caramel fudge recipe I would check out my Slow Cooker Salted Caramel Fudge Recipe although if salted caramel isn’t your thing, just leave the salt out! I do love making homemade fudge, it’s an easy fudge recipe and takes no time at all. If you like it a little more firm I would suggest adding 50g icing sugar, if you like it a little more soft, leave the powdered sugar out. This simple salted caramel fudge recipe is easy to make and anyone can do it, provided you have a slow cooker!
I will say that if you want it to make it easier, use a silicone baking tray. It’s easier to use, when the fudge is firm you can easily take it out without the fudge sticking to the tray and it doesn’t matter what you pour in there, it’s easy to remove and you can put them in the cooker without them melting. It is by far one of the best kitchen equipment pieces I have.
