When I’m in the mood for baking I have my one go to recipe and that is my peanut butter cookies recipe! I love making them, everyone I know likes to eat them and they are the perfect comfort food on a winters night! What’s even nicer is I sometimes add some dark chocolate chips and it gives it that sweeter taste.

If there was an award for cookies, you can bet that peanut butter cookies would win one. They are a time old tradition, my mum used to make them all the time when I was younger and now I make them all the time that I’m older! Their familiar cross-hatch pattern is a tell tale sign of what they are and it’s super easy to make on all cookies, anyone can do it.
Now don’t get me wrong, I love the traditional peanut butter cookies but I also love alternatives that you’d never have thought about before. One recipe that I have made a few times is this chocolate peanut butter cookies recipe, it’s super yummy and also really easy to make which is great.
Dairy Free Peanut Butter Cookies
Now I can’t eat dairy but I love eating dairy, see the issue? So I make as many dairy free recipes as possible which is why I’m loving these dairy free peanut butter cookies. Now you might be thinking, how is this recipe dairy free, after all, it does have chocolate chips in it! Use dark chocolate or milk chocolate chips but dairy free milk chocolate chips (yes they exist!).
Dairy free recipes are super fun to make and most of the time you don’t actually have to change a lot about a recipe to make it dairy free. These dairy free peanut butter cookies don’t really have any dairy in it, just make sure the peanut butter that you use is dairy free. There is a lot of dairy free peanut butter out there though so you should’nt have a problem.

Dairy Free Peanut Butter Cookies recipe
- 200g Peanut Butter Smooth or Crunchy your choice!
- 180g Castor Sugar
- 1 Egg
- Pinch of Salt
- 1 Bag Chocolate chips If wanted
- Pre-heat the oven at 180'c, use a silicone baking mat
- Mix all the ingredients together until you have a doughy mixture, put your mixture in the fridge for 5 minutes.
- Roll some dough balls, place them on the mat and flatten with the back of a fork. Leave some space between each cookie.
- Bake for 12 minutes, if you make a bigger size then you may need to bake them for longer.
- Leave on the baking tray for 5 minutes and then transfer them to a wire rack to cool.
