It doesn’t matter if you pronounce them as cone or gone, they’re always yummy! I’ve loved them for as long as I can remember and it’s only now that I’ve started to actually make them, and I kick myself for it because they are so darn yummy! Scones are so versatile a well, you can have them for breakfast, with lunch or maybe a dessert; I wouldn’t recommend eating a load for dinner though!
You can also have whatever you want inside them, unless you make yummy cheese ones then you might just take a bite! I prefer to have mine with a tiny bit of vegan spread along with some home made raspberry jam! There’s nothing quite like it, and knowing that you’ve made most of it yourself, even the jam it just seems to taste better!
I have to admit the scones are perfect for everyone as well, due to them being vegan and free from most allergies it means everyone can have one and no one is left hungry. I would totally suggest you make some and then see what they’re like, the recipe makes 13; a bakers dozen! Unlike other recipes that have you making 6, you’re able to feed everyone with this one!
Let me know in the comments what you love putting on your scones, do you just take a bite? I know some people that love lemon curd on theirs, not something I’ve tried but once I make a nice vegan lemon curd recipe I’ll let you know! For now I’ll enjoy a nice raspberry scone, maybe even a strawberry filled scone!
If you want to make more yummy vegan scones then just double the recipe, if you want to make less then cut it in half, you can also add some herbs, cheese or anything you can think of! Keep an eye out for more scone recipes so you can get some fun ideas and inspiration!
